Competition Rules (English)

GROUND RULES:

[1] The participants are teams of 2 (two) cosplayers.

[2] Costumes contested are from the same series, which is limited only to the Japanese ANIME / MANGA, GAME, and TOKUSATSU with the following provisions:


> Characters of ANIME / MANGA, must come from an animated movie / depiction in the comics, not the live-action film version (Dragonball Evolution, Gegege no Kitaro, etc.).

> Characters of GAME, must come from the original game made in Japan, not the games from other countries made by Japan (Star Wars, Disney, etc).

> Characters of TOKUSATSU, must come from live-action movie, not the version of the comics and toys (Masked Rider Spirits, Super imaginative Chogokin, etc.)


[3] Allowed to CROSSDRESS.

[4] Each participant must have a name for the team.

[5] Participants under the age of 10 (ten) years should be accompanied by a parent or family representative.

[6] The committee reserves the right to use the photos and videos of the participants both before and after the competition.


PROCESS:

[1] Register

A. Participants must provide a bio-data and photographs of the characters that will be played.

B. Participants must submit a performance video as an audition material that will be used by the jury, with the following provisions:

> Recording Tools: Handycam / Digicam / Phonecam.

> Length: A maximum of 30 (thirty) seconds.

> Format: Flash Video (. flv).

> Contents: The scene in this video is part of the unity of action that will be performed in the competition.

> Submission Deadline: No later than 1 (one) month before the event.

C. Send Bio data, photos and videos via e-mail to goraikon@gmail.com with the title "(name of team) CLAS:H 2011".

D. Submission deadline : June 26th 2011 and will be announced on July 1st 2011.

E. 50 teams qualify for the audition will join the semi-final competition in Little Tokyo Ennichisai 2011 July 10, 2011.


[2] Semi Final Round - Little Tokyo Ennichisai 2011 (July 9, 2011)

A. The competition by category ANIME / MANGA, GAME, and tokusatsu.

B. Each team is given the performing time for 3 (three) minutes, not including time for preparation. If the performing time exceeds the specified limits, the committee is entitled to discontinue the action on stage.

C. The time for preparation on the stage is limited to 1 (one) minute.

D. Each team is required to use multimedia as a background, in the form of audio and video that support the appearance.

E. The Jury will select two (2) of the best team out of 3 (three) categories mentioned above as a champion of the semi-final.

F. 6 (six) semi-final
champion will compete the final round at CLAS:H 2011 on July 24, 2011.


[3] Final Round - CLAS: H 2011 (July 24, 2011)

A. Battle Royal competition based system.

B. Each team is given the performing time for 3 (three) minutes, not including time for preparation. If the performing time exceeds the specified limits, the committee is entitled to discontinue the action on stage.

C. The time for preparation on the stage is limited to 1 (one) minute.

D. Each team is required to use multimedia as a background, in the form of audio and video that support the appearance.


E. The Judges will select three winners based on the order of winners of 1, 2 and 3.


COSTUMES & EQUIPMENT RULES:

[1] Costume & fixtures are made with best quality and as close as possible to its original character without any reduction or addition of accessories.

[2] Do not use resin / fiber glass and iron for the costumes and props.


ADDITIONAL RULES:

[1] Participants are allowed to bring only 2 assistants to help prepare the backstage area and to help prepare the required equipment during performances on stage. Summit the names of the two assistants in the video registration.

[2] The participants are allowed to bring props that can be scattered on the stage (rose petal & leaf), but does not leave scars that are difficult to clean.

[3] It is forbidden to bring props
such as liquids, chemical and pyro. .

[4] Participants are only allowed to perform on stage that has been provided, it is forbidden to perform in the area for judges and audiences (forbidden to jump off the stage and interact outside the stage area).

[5] The order of performances is decided by a lottery conducted by the committee
.

JUDGING CRITERIA

Every judge in this contest will provide value based on the following 3 criterias:

[1] Performance: The quality of an entertaining show.
[2] Costume & Props: Similarities and detailed design on the original character shapes.
[3] Deepening Character: Deepening the role according to the story and original characters
